I used to never have a hobby...
If you had asked me 2017 what my biggest struggle in life was, I would've said sticking with one thing over a longer period of time. Keeping a hobby, or anything consistently.
I always started something, was super excited and then abandoned it after a few weeks or months. I was incredibly jealous of the people in my life that had something they were passionate about. They went to dance practice or were volunteer fire fighters while I was sitting here, not knowing what to do with my time.
So I decided to commit to something. I started my Youtube channel and shared my journey. I painted consistently and created lots of "bad" paintings until I saw improvement.
I learned that commitment is a muscle that you have to train and use. And it's worth it to stick with things even when it's hard sometimes. (Trust me, I have ADHD and I get distracted easily)

What's the difference to your Youtube videos?
The course goes into depth and makes sure you get all of the important information and skills in the right order. It will lead you step by step through the techniques required to paint confidently with gouache. The tutorials are not as sped up as my Youtube videos.

How long does the course take?
The footage itself is about 3 hours long. If you follow along to all of the tutorials and take your time, I'd say plan at least 5-6 hours for the course.

What's your refund policy?
I've been there too! Sometimes you invest in a course but it's not what you had expected. For this reason, I offer a refund if you have watched every section of the course and found that you haven't learned anything new. All I ask of you is to actually watch the course and give it a try, otherwise no questions asked :)
What materials do I need for the course?
I recommend a Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache Starter Set. (Affiliate Link: https://amzn.to/45ubnF7 ) Any other type of water soluble gouache will also work though! Having a set of acrylic gouache is not necessary, but can be useful if you want to learn that as well. I also recommend watercolor paper with at least 250-300gsm (Affiliate Link for my favorite paper: https://amzn.to/3M1JoG7 ) and I use various sizes of synthetic round brushes.
I hated my art teachers - so I became one
In school and in college (I studied graphic design) I really disliked most of my art classes. The teachers were obsessed with getting a certain result in a short period of time. They said that tracing your sketch is cheating. In conclusion, they sucked all the fun out of it.
When I found my passion for art again later I wanted to do the exact opposite of what they're doing. I strongly believe in uplifting people instead of criticising them. I want my students to feel motivated, inspired and confident. It's all about learning and enjoying the process of it.
